DYK we had a bird hit the glass door too, day before yesterday.
DYK it made a perfect landing into an empty flowerpot that was full of water, so Liz ran out and fished it out. We thought it was a goner because it was just lying there blinking its eyes, but after 5 or 10 minutes it sat up. Then it just stood there dazed for maybe half an hour, and eventually flew off.
DYK every few days a bird flies into the glass door here this time of year. I've read that they see the reflection and either think it's more space to fly into, or that they see another bird that needs attacking. I've thought about putting some kind of decal on the glass but it would look so tacky!
DYK Jamie, I hope your head is all better today. I get a couple of migraines a year (less since I started SB) and they are truly awful.
DYK a few small developments in my life...
DYK Liz got permission from the professor to audit that anthropology class. I wrote to ask how he would feel about her just sitting in, since she won't get credit anyway and it would cost $3200 for the tuition and fees. He agreed --- yay!!! Also, the books for the course are *only* $65.
DYK and the vet put Holly on two new prescriptions for her thunderstorm phobia. Both are human drugs repackaged (and beef-flavored, in once case!) for dogs. She is to take Clomicalm every day during storm season; it's an antidepressant that is supposed to help with anxiety and OCD in dogs. Then we have doggie Valium to give her when it starts to thunder.
DYK I really hope this helps! It's awful to see her terrified for hours on end, and we have had thunderstorms about every other day for a few weeks now.

DYK LOVE the cake show pics!
DYK and not surprisingly, Abi's cake is a work of art.

DYK that's a bummer, Cathy. It seems like you would be able to stain white grout some other color, but what do I know?
DYK I remember the pictures of your tile --- it's gorgeous!
DYK I have vinyl in my kitchen, the guest bath and the half bath that I HATE --- it doesn't look THAT bad, but it seems like it was the vinyl in every apartment I ever had: http://www.owencarpet.com/images/new%20website/vinyl/domco/image_62232_victory.jpg (but the little diamonds are a burgundy color in mine)
DYK some day, I will have beautiful floors!
