dyk, I'm going to try...I at least need to hold myself together at work today
dyk, and I'm not doing a very good job of it right now...I'm writing out what I want to put in a card to my boss and am balling my eyes out. Good thing I decided to do a 'dry' run of it at home - I didn't want to forget anything but now I'm just glad I'm not sitting at my desk right now.
dyk, so far:
I want to thank you for all of the support you've given me over the last few years. You've allowed to me to learn things on my own, but have always been there if I've needed help. Without that, I don't think I would have grown in to the position that I'm in, not to mention where I'm moving towards.
I know I've not always been easy to work with, especially when confronted with changes that I don't believe in; but you've always at least listened to my point of view - regardless of how things turned out.
Things are not going to be easy with you gone, but you've left a lasting impression, knowledge, and confidence that while I may not be quite ready at the moment, I will eventually be ready to step up into a new role - and maybe this change will be better than it seems right now.
Past Races:
-Boston Run to Remember Half Marathon, 5/29/11 (2:35:11, no training!)
-Corporate Run, 3.5 miles 6/2/11 (36:38, 4 days after running the half!)
-BAA 10k, 6/26/11 (1:04:52, wanted to be under an hour...)
-Tavern to Tavern

DYK would you believe the kids' passports came in yesterday's mail?
DYK but we're sticking with our plans for NH; we can plan on Canada next year.
DYK It's not as fast as it once was, but I have to say that I'm happy to see the scale going in the right direction again?
