"DYK there's nothing like dragging out the stress for two more weeks, is there?!"

DYK I'm trying to take a break from the stress?

DYK I'm still requiring Maegan to bring home a progress report ASAP from Social Studies, but I already know what's on it, so there's no surprise = no added stress there?

DYK And her science teacher has told me a lot about what they will be doing for grades the next 2 weeks before progress reports, so as long as I can keep Maegan on the right path toward having a good notebook check and studying the periodic table for some quizzes, I think she will do ok in science?

DYK And the trick will be for her to keep a good average in everything else?

DYK It becomes a juggling act to bring up the bad grades while not allowing the good grades to drop?

DYK And as a side note, the band did great in competition yesterday?

DYK We won't know the results of the judging til probably sometime this week, tho?

DYK They didn't give out any rewards last night, but the OGHS band was the only band that really had a good cohesive theme to their program?

DYK Some of the other high schools marched well and sounded good, but their program was just a series of different songs that usually didn't even seem to go together?

"dyk I'm positive all of the old posting issues will be solved. However, I'm also positive that there will be tons of new posting issues"

DYK Ugh...

DYK I am really not looking forward to this message board upgrade?

DYK I have enjoyed not being included in the posting problems lately?

DYK Not that I'm happy that a lot of you have been having problems?

dyk we had a wonderful trip; very romantic and great experiences

dyk we stayed at the Omni in San Francisco. We really didn't have a lot of time there so we did the hop on hop off bus to get a city overview (it had been 20+ years since we were last there), so we got off a lot and saw some of the various neighborhoods. There sure is plenty that we'd like to go back to one day.

dyk in Napa we stayed at the Avia Napa Hotel. Downtown Napa is undergoing a renaissance, in fact it seems most of the towns in the Napa Valley are, but this hotel was spectacular and I would highly recommend it.

dyk we thoroughly enjoyed Napa, but Sonoma County is an amazingly beautiful place. The wineries are more spread out and the landscape is beautiful. We even fit in a drive to the coast one day and saw whales putting on quite a show.

dyk there we stayed at The Farmhouse Inn and wow....every amenity, every detail. I got a little misty when we had to check out....lol

dyk we say many wineries, vineyards, and tasting rooms. Our favorites were Far Niente, Silver Oak, Cakebread, Sterling and of course, Pezzi King where we had a poolside, private tasting

dyk we also visited Francis Ford Coppolas new winery in Sonoma...still under major construction, had lots of movie memorabilia and when complete will be kind of a Disney for adults

dyk the surprise for marisa was a big hit

dyk the looking for a belt became looking at boots since Mark also went along

dyk his going was actually a good thing because it allowed everything to go very smoothly

dyk here's a recap of the experience:

There were 2 big equipment trailers in the parking lot, and they had horses painted on them, which Marisa noticed but didn’t really know how to process.

dyk I"m not sure I'll be back around much at all

dyk I don't even eat on the south beach diet due to the migraine issue...
