Day 2
14
Tue, 12-09-2003 - 8:38am
Hello everyone,

I completed my first day and on to my second. I'm really happy with my first day. I got home from work last night and felt great. And I was really good. My son had chicken nuggets and french fries and I didn't! Not even a bite. Thought about it then forgot. I made Chili from a recipe from someon on here. Really good. So I prepared my dinner and my meals for today. I got up this morning and made my self an omelete and my son french toast. I still have a cup of coffee in the morning - to wake up! I really think this diet could work for me. I can eat a lot of things. Oh and I think cutting out those bad carb left me not craving other things.

Thanks for all your support!

Jenn

Hi Cathy,

Thanks for the heads up. I know the first couple days are always the easiest. I told myself that I would wait until after a few days and then weight myself. If I do it earlier and see that I'm not losing it could discourage me so I'm going to wait. I have the chili all ready for quick meals. And froze half so I wouldn't get sick of it - eating it too much.

Thanks Mel! I know exactly what you mean about McDonald's fries. What great will power. I'm a little nervous about Friday. I'm going to a Christmas party and I know I'll want a glass of wine. The food I'm not worried about. It's the alcohol.

To keep yourself from drinking the alcohol, keep a glass of water in your hands at all times.

Good idea, out of sight...out of mind. The thought was there.

I have a canister of candy canes on my desk. And I made cookies over the weekend (before I started) and brought some to work. Haven't touched them. I just keep in mind how bad I'll feel after and that stops me.

Whatever works to stop you from eating them.

I'm in the same boat.

Hey!

Good Job! It sounds like you've got everything under control. I know the first few days are hard. I am just restarting phase one because I realized I had unintentionally cheated quite a bit the first time around. So Here I am-- Square one! Hehe. Well I hope you keep it up and keep us updated!

Thanks Monica,

I finding this way of eating more workable each day. When I go to the store I'm paying attention to labels and purchasing things I don't usually. But wondering why I never did. There are definitely some great advantages to this. Good luck on the second time around. Dust yourself off and try again.
