hey, i'm 24, from washington, dc, and i'm starting tomorrow (was going to start today, but got back in town too late last night to go shopping). i belong to gold's, and have just finished crafting a workout schedule for the next three months to get me back into the shape i was in in college! i'm really excited about starting the SBD, mainly because i want to start eating better, not necessarily lose a lot of weight. btw, how do you girls have such cute signatures? i just joined ivillage today!

Hello! I am also 25 and fit your semi-veg description...i eat dairy, lots of eggs, and seafood, but haven't eaten red meat, chicken, etc. for 10 years. I just started yesterday and am looking to lose 10 lbs. I have a gym membership I haven't been so great about, but am pretty good about squeezing pilates in. I would love to share recipes or any other ideas!

28 here in West Palm Beach FL. I started SBD on Monday and it's been pretty good so far. I'm not much of an exerciser though but do my sit ups and push ups and such everyday. I want to get into Yoga but have to find a place that has it and not too much money. I have a lot to lose though about 50lbs, also semi-veggie. Same as you both.

Hello! I'm a 22 yo from IL. I'm also semi-veggie (eggs, poultry, some fish). I've got about 10 lbs to lose. I work out about 3 nights a week (I work some evenings at a Ladies Fitness gym, so that works to my advantage!!) I started SB back in September, but the holidays threw me off, so I'm back on Phase 1.

Hi!! First of all I am really happy to hear responsed from what seems to be a simliar group!! And thank goodness 'cause today...I'm desperate. And I mean desperate.....I went shopping to N.Y. with my (thinner) sister (ok, I know it's jelousy even though I love her tremendously) but the thing is that I realized that after ELEVEN days (and only two slip ups -one of them right now actually) I haven't lost an inch. Not one.

I don't have a scale at home so I'm messuring by size. Anyway, 14 days are almost over and I haven't lost anything...I'm feeling soooo bad/horrible. The worst part is that I really do try...even before I started with SBD I already ate close to the program (no rice, pasta, potatoes) and I know maybe it's because of that that I haven't lost weight....but I did eat sweets (and lot's of them) and I haven't eaten any now (ok, with the exception of New Years-alcohol and pizza. And tonight:chocolate, one glass of red wine and two bites of apple pie).

I feel like giving up....

P.S. If anyone wants to write to me personally: marlaf45@yahoo.com

Hey M!

I'm from NY too! I'm on day 2 of Phase ONE (tomorrow will be day 3). We can help each other out...if u like!

If you dont have a scale at home, you know what you could do? Go to the store that sell it and weigh yourself there! Go to that store sometimes and weigh'em! It also give you a chance to walk to the store too, right?!

Hey guys

I'm 24. Also from NY. Well that is if Staten Island counts :). I haven't started the diet yet (still gotta go get the book), but hoping to do so by Monday. The thing I am mainly worried about so far is that this whole health food thing can get a little expensive - difficult with a grad student's budget...

Good luck with Phase I!!! I'll be back here to commiserate..er..support once I get started. :)
