To Weigh or Not to Weigh?

I'm in Phase One and I'm not weighing myself for several reasons. One is that I always seem to lose weight slowly. I usually don't get the big early drops, although over the long run it's a one to one & a half pound loss a week. Also I started Curves -with the weight training part I might gain a bit due to muscle gain. Last and the real reason (LOL) I am too afraid to get on the scale!!! I'm waiting until February 1st so I don't totally depress myself. Then I will likely obsessively weigh myself like we're not supposed to do. But right now it seems to help me stay on the diet.

Others?

I did that too because I don't even own a scale.

I haven't weighed myself yet either! This is my ninth day on phase 1, and I will be completely heart broken if I haven't lost anything, so I am waiting for the full two weeks to pass before I step on a scale....

I would say NO. Do not weigh yourself. In my opinion it is a motivation BUSTER! As women our weight goes up and down two to three pounds depending on the day..time..etc. The key is to weigh yourself at the same time each day. I've seen my weight go up '3 pounds' in one day but the very next day I'll weight myself and those three pounds are gone along with an extra pound...LAUGH! It depends.......if your intestines are holding a bunch of gunk or your water weight is high that day....so don't do it.

I used to be addicted to the scale...weighing myself every single day..several times a day....(which is probably why I had the experience above).

Now, I really just go by how I feel in my clothing and look in the mirror. Right now I'm wearing a 6-8 and I'm very comfortable in an '8'. I can fit a 6 but sometimes it's a little snug ...so I just want to be comfortable in a '6'. To do that I know I only need to lose a few pounds 7-10. I'll know if I've lost weight by the clothing I will try on. I'll weight myself sometime in the next month or so.

139 TRYING TO GET TO 129-135!!! I don't have a magic number. I have a magic range. I want to weigh between 129-135..that is it. I'm on my way. I can FEEL IT!!!!!

I have to stop weighing myself! I only weigh myself once a day but it's frustrating if I go up a bit or stay the same (I'm on day 10!). I am going to have to force myself not to weigh myself again until the end of the 2 weeks. How is everyone doing?

I also weigh myself every day, same time. How do you stop?

My name is Jenifer and I am addicted to my scale...

I weighed this morning... the beginning of day 3. I did it to make sure I wasn't gaining weight. I feel like i am eating a lot! So... I have lost 1.5 pounds and that for me was motivating. But I think I will weigh like... every 3rd day maybe? I'm too curious and I need to know if my efforts are worth it. Also, I would like to know if I am sabbotaging my efforts somehow. :-)

I'm also a slave to the scale! I step on our shipping scale at work every morning as soon as I arrive! :) But I do have to say, it keeps me in line. This morning I stepped on, and was up a little, so I'll just workout harder tonight to bring it back down, and maybe adjust what I'm adding back in (I'm a cautious Phase 2). My only question is if it's muscle gain, so I'm going to weigh myself at the gym tonight. There is a scale with the body fat percentage on it, and I'd much rather go by that! It's just a personal issue, but I need to have the reassurance that I'm on track. I've only got about 5 - 10 lbs to lose, but they seem to be taking forever!!!
