Day 3
| Wed, 01-14-2004 - 6:41am |
it is now the beginning of day 3...
Day 2 went by fairly easily, (while I'm at work ie) As soon as I leave work on the drive home I find myself wanting to stop for French Fries (I never ever do that normally)...Home poses the great struggle. Everywhere I look, there are forbidden foods, but with 4 young kids and a husband that likes to snack I am not able to just throw them out.
However, I have been strong, Whenever I get the urge to have a cracker, I have 2 -3 almonds that seems to work so far. Yesterday I had a red snapper filet with asparagus...i have never been a dessert eater so I haven't tried that ricotta dessert yet. Anyway...Hopefully Day 3 will go smoothly.

I'm also finding that I'm eating lots of snacks - more than 2 a day. Especially at night, when I'm used to munching on stuff in front of the TV. I hope that goes down a little. I keep to veggies and hummus or cheese. So I think I'm ok.
And I tried the no sugar added fudgesicles last night - YUMMY! All who haven't tried them - should. One of those (they're little) is 45 calories. Perfect!
Have a great day everyone! And remember lots of water!

So after 2 days... I lost slightly over a pound (1.5 pounds in my mind). My poor fiance was ordered to get on his knees in the bathroom and tell me if it was a pound... or 1.5 pounds. He looked up and said "1 and a half!" Of course he just wants to make me feel good. lol :-) But the point is.. I am losing ont his diet after 2 days and i have not exercised so... It gives me motivation to stick with it.
I also love the no sugar added fudgesicles. You can only have 1 a day though because they have 45 calores. And you're not supposed to have more then 75 cals of sugar free sweets.
My fiance is a great guy. He has helped me with my diet and even though he doesn't want to be on it, he helps me come up with meals we can cook together. So we had a chicken/veggie stirfry yesterday, and he had rice and I didn't and he heaped a lot of it onto my plate so I wouldnt' be hungry. And he brainstorms snacks for me (even though most of them are a no-no).
Just a note, I got almonds that were smokehouse salted or something and thought hey were OK and then read they were not.
Today I had 2 hard boiled eggs, half of pack of frozen spinach, and tomato juice (the Day 3 menu)...it was yummy! I found some calorie-free, everything-free spicy mustard at the supermarket...it gives a little zing when I need it.
I have been tracking my calories/protein/fat/carbs on www.fitday.com. Yesterday I had less than 25 grams of carbs and over 120 grams of protein! Wow!
Feeling good!! Let's keep it up guys! I am not weighing myself until Friday but I know by my belly that I lost a pound or two!

I'm so impressed with those who can feel the weight loss already. That tells me they are doing so well. I can't tell anything yet. Did get a run back into the routine though. Only three weeks until running becomes a habit again.
Best of luck to all going into day 4.
