Last night i was awoke about two hours after i went to bed with incredible pain in my stomach, almost like the worst menstrual cramps. I went to the bathroom however no BM. When i got back in bed my left ankle began to cramp up with shooting pains. This lasted for a few minutes and then was able to go back to sleep. Is this related to SBD? lack of carbs or something??? I didn't have any stomach pain before bed.

Ideas only:

Stomach pain/cramping - Did you eat more than your usual amount of artificial sweetener? Generally, those sweeteners seem to do a number on people's innards. Lots of veggies? The increase in the amount of roughage you eat can also play a part. Did you drink sufficient water yesterday? Not drinking enough can contribute.

Could it be midcycle time?

Leg cramps - Lack of potassium, lack of H2O, exercising too close to bedtime, even bedcoverings that are tucked too tightly around your feet and lower legs can do it.

Hope something in there clicks!

Here's a link. Note that a lot of them are not Phase I-friendly (fruits, dairy, grains), but the veggies certainly are.

You can always take a multivitamin; they generally include potassium. It's one of those minerals that there isn't an RDA for, but it's so important for muscle function; there are potassium supplements out there, too, but you should check with your dr before you try them.

Feel better!
