I read somewhere that some soups are allowed on Phase 1. I would love to find out which brand, kind etc. Also, not to rush ahead or anything.....I would like to know what bread would be a good choice to start to reintroduce in Phase 2. I know that the more grainy the better, but maybe someone knows a brand.
Love this board!!!!

As far as bread, I'm still in Phase I, but found this list on MizFrog's page:
Breads to Buy

Why are whole-grain breads better for you than breads made with enriched or refined flour? One reason is that whole-grain breads have a lower glycemic index. Another is that whole grains contain phytochemicals that may help cut the risk of heart disease and cancer. If you're in Phase 2 of the diet and can start eating bread again, here are some good brands to buy:
Pepperidge Farm:
100% Stoneground Whole Wheat
Natural Whole Grain 9 Grain
Natural Whole Grain German Dark Wheat
Pepperidge Farm Natural Whole Grain Crunchy Grains or Multi-Grain
Rubschlager:
European Style Whole Grain
100% Rye Rye-Ola Sunflower
100% Rye Rye-Ola Rye
100% Rye Rye-Ola Pumpernickle
Brownberry:
100% Whole Wheat
Natural 12 Grain
Natural Oatnut
Other:
Nature's Own 100% Whole Wheat
Mrs. Baird's 100% Whole Wheat
Roman Meal 100% Whole Wheat
Arnold 100% Whole Wheat dinner
I do like to make my own soup - but I eat soooo much soup that I like to keep some canned varieties for when I don't have time to cook.
what is the brand of bread that you found with 5-7 grams of fiber? I want to check to see if they have them in the stores where I generally shop to see if I have to go to special stores once I hit phase II. Thanks so much! I do have to say that I'm on day 4 of phase I and haven't been craving bread at all really. But the oatmeal box on top of the fridge has been calling to me! LOL I think I have to hide it. :)

Oatmeal was the first thing I added back when I started Phase 2.
