Well...Sunday is day 14 of Phase 1 for me. I have been exercising (1hr treadmill, 30 mins pilates) every day and I haven't cheated even the tiniest bit! I decided to wait until today to weigh in. I have lost 4 lbs. in almost 2 weeks! I was certainly hoping for more... but it's 4 lbs. less than I was, so I'll continue. I think I'll keep on Phase 1 for a 3rd week. (Except I am adding in red wine! LOL I am SO looking forward to my first glass on Sunday evening!) It's "that time" of the month, so I'm a little bloated maybe that's contributing as well. I have been drinking a lot of water (4-5 16-oz bottles a day) but I find I'm up 2-3 times a night to pee! Makes for a groggy morning.

Any advice on continuing on P1 or should I just go onto P2? I want some bread! But I'll survive if I have to do this another week.

I'm new to SBD and this board, but I'm guessing all the exercising you've been doing is building muscle, therefore making it look like you're not loosing much weight. How are your clothes fitting?

Rene, I am new here too, but I have read the book and Dr. A says that there is nothing wrong with staying on Phase 1 an extra week. I am also wondering what you are eating? You seem to exercise alot, and I know that if you are not fueling your body accordingly, it may go on strike! Keep your head up, close your eyes and imagine a pile of 4lbs. of butter!!!! That is not a little victory by any means!

I'm on my last day of phase 1 and i'm going to start a modified phase 2...some milk, bread, and wine! :-) i've lost 4.5 lbs since the start. i started with 13 to lose...if you have less to lose in total, you'll lose less in phase 1. so for all you 15 pounders or less...i would think that an average phase 1 weight lost would be somewhat less than the 8 lbs!!

Congratulations on your 4 pound loss! As you said, a 4 pound loss is better than any gain. I, too, am almost done with phase 1. Monday will be two weeks and I've lost 4 pounds as well. I'm thrilled. I have 10 to loose yet, so I didn't think I'd be in the 8-13 pound group.

I am thinking I will stay on phase 1 another week and see how it goes. The difficult part for me were days 2-3; now its going very well. Last night I didn't even crave the ricotta mocha-I had nothing sweet after dinner. That's a first!! The cravings really do go away. I must say, when I smelled the pancakes and syrup this morning in the school cafeteria, it smelled pretty good. No cravings though!
