Well, my TOM started and tonight I was with a friend and ate half of a sandwich! The sandwich is a specialty here- bread, with salami, sweet n sour coleslaw, and french fries on it!

I couldn't stop myself!! What is wrong with me? I was so good for the past week and a half.

Right now I am drinking a ton of water...should I stay on Phase I for another week? Or move onto Phase II on Monday like planned?

Hi there! I'm a newbie too (responded to your earlier posting about stalled weight loss), so of course take my advice for what it's worth b/c I'm still figuring this whole thing out. Don't beat yourself up about eating the bread. This is a journey and we all struggle and take some steps back, but there's always the next minute and the next hour, and the next day. I would go on like you planned and finish up phase 1 and then move to phase 2 once you reach the 2-week mark. I don't know what more experienced SBD'ers would suggest, but I would just move on like it did not happen. I am sure that once you move into phase 2 you'll start seeing a loss again and you'll be incorporating more carbs so you'll be less likely to reach for the unhealthier carbs.

Good luck and I'm right here with you! One day at a time.....

If it were me, I would stay on Phase I and continue on. Don't beat yourself up about it. We are all human. But, don't let it be an excuse to discount all the great job you've done for the past week! You can stick it out for another week!! You know you can!!!

I would stay on P1 for a couple extra days.

I would base your choice on how you feel about your cravings.

Thanks everyone...I woke up ravenous with hunger this morning- it was a reminder what carbs like that do to me.

I will see how I feel after this weekend and if I should start Phase II.
