It's been sooooo incredibly cold here (NYC), that I haven't really gotten out of the apartment, either!! Too cold to walk outside with the little one. And she's sick, so I can't take her to the babysitting at the gym, either.
My goal this week, at least for the next 4 days, is to actually EAT a Phase I regimen. We are going out of town next weekend and I plan to continue Phase I except for dinner on Saturday. I'm meeting a dear friend who lives in the other city for dinner, and while I'm not going to go crazy, I want to enjoy myself, so a little rice (if we have Indian) or a tortilla/wrap if we go Mexican. Maybe we'll split a dessert. Maybe I'll have a glass of wine.
Sorry for the long post. I just needed to write it all down somewhere.
Vowing to actually eat snacks and lunch and a real dinner this week,
Amy

Good luck Amy, I know you can do it!
here are some nyc ideas---all standard delivery items.
-chinese food--steamed vegetables and chicken. if you're phase 2, add the brown rice. some places will even have cool salads. also, lots will have some sort of braised fish on the menu. when it gets there, take the fish out of the sauce. the little bit that's left on it won't hurt you at all. it's great.
-sashimi. get the salad with the yummy ginger dressing and the miso soup along with your sashimi---it can be a second meal.
-thai--great fish dishes. and all will do steamed vegetables.
-those quick delivery salad places at lunchtime. the ones that mix the salad with the dressing for you that are now ubiquitous. order one with dressing and one with the dressing on the side. some of their soups are good, as long as you pre-clear the no pasta thing. that's two meals for ya.
-and, of course, fresh direct if you have it in your neighborhood.
its amazing how many south beach friendly foods you can order in when you get creative.
good luck!
