Day 8 slip
| Mon, 01-19-2004 - 10:57pm |
So far Ive had great success with Phase 1. As of my week one weigh in Ive lost a total of 10 lbs and 3.5 inches. But last night I had the worst sort of cravings for ANYTHING on the bad carb list. Yesterday I ate two cookies, a poptart, and a biscuit. YIKES!!!!
But today Im back on track with no cravings and no desire to quit or give up. Not sure what that means, but Im going to pretend it never happened and finish my two weeks on Phase one, then go on to Phase 2. I think the problem was that I hadn't been eating enough the last couple of days. My work schedule is crazy and I worked the midnight shift last night so I was up for 24 hours. Ugh! Anyways, onward I go.
Truly,
Amy

A slip is a slip. The important thing is that you jumped right back to SBD-friendly stuff! Congrats on being able to return from a slip w/o cravings. Tough work situations don't usually bring out the best in us, so I think you're doing GREAT under the circumstances. Try keeping a bunch of snacks with you at all times. That usually helps me when I'm tempted by the vending machine at work. :)
Congrats on the weight loss too!
Anna
Your week 1 loss is fantastic.
And I had a problem yesterday, fixed mashed potatoes for the family and before I knew what I was doing I was doing the taste test I always would do after they are mashed. Checking for seasoning, and I thought they wre salty by the way, then another taste. Funny thing was, I went from feeling empowered to feeling blah and bloated. Now I know a couple spoonfuls of potaotes can't have that immediate result, but maybe focus on how you felt after eating your slips. Did they satisfy you or make you want more? I know now I really do have a problem with carbs, especially sweets and those darn mashed potatoes!
Glad to hear you are continueing on, we CAN do this!
