Give a day break?
| Tue, 01-20-2004 - 8:10pm |
Tomorrow is Chinese New Year and my family suggest me to take one meal (dinner) break from SBD. I'm going to eat mostly veggies, seafoods, and meats! I don't plan on eating rice, noodles, or any high carbs. I don't plan to have snacks tomorrow but I was wondering, after that do I still need to stick another week of P1? I'm on phase one, finished 2 weeks, and starting another week of P1 so today is my 16th days of P1.
Cuz I know some of the foods has sauces. Sauces are usually filled with some fats and bad fats. And there's dumpling...
What do ya'll think?

After my experience with no loss in week one. I went and took a day break and enjoyed my self a little. After that I continued on and finally three days later I lost weight.
So my advice is to enjoy the holiday and just get right back on the next day. That is one thing that has bothered me all these years. No diet or plan should mess up a holiday. What is the point of a holiday if you can't indulge a little. This is supposed to be a way of eating for life... and life has holidays. Holidays are special, and special times require special rules. I say don't worry about it. You have the rest of the year to do that.
Enjoy your day. Enjoy your family and then get right back to it. Think of it as a vacation...everyone needs one, and takes one, but when it is over, they get right back to normal.
:)
My body adjusts pretty quickly, and I stopped seeing P1 results after the first week, so now I don't believe that I will need a full two weeks on P1 to detox any time I feel the need to step back. If you're still seeing the results you want, three weeks is great for you to stick to P1, and then it's time to move on.
Don't think of your Chinese dinner as a night off, but as an opportunity to transition into P2...order brown rice with your dinner and enjoy!
