Morning all! I am so glad to have found you and hope you don't mind if I ask some silly questions in the next couple weeks. I am trying to lose my last 10-15 pounds (already lost 25) and have decided to try and kick my carb habit and eat more veggie while losing the weight. So, I was reading the book last night and I notice that carrots are on the "Do not eat" list for Phase 1. I have this terrific soup recipe that has low fat turkey sausage, spinach, great northen beans and CARROTS. I really could eat this soup for lunch for a whole week and be totally happy but those pesky carrots. Will I ruin everything if I eat a few? I think the recipe serves 5-6 and has a cup of halved baby carrots. What do you think? Thanks all!

Do you think it would be OK to make the soup with the carrots and then just not eat them? I think my husband would be unhappy if I left them out...

It would be fine to make the soup with the carrots and then pick them out.

Another quick question...

Lunchmeats. The guidleines just say to get low-fat or fat-free lunchmeats. Does that include bologna?

Bologna is pretty processed.
