Well, I only have 2-3 pounds to go. I'm on my 3 day of P1.
I'm going to stick with the diet because I truly like it and it is keeping me healthy. I FEEL GOOD.
Hmmmm.....what would you guys do in this situation? Since I've reached my goal in P1 do you think I should skip P2 and go right to P3 the maintenance phase?? I was just thinking about that. I think I will do P2 for about a week and then move to P3 if I feel comfortable. What do you ladies think?
My hubby wants me to get off completely. I don't think I should do that. He only says that because he never thought I needed the diet and since I am normally a healthy eater and workout anyway. He thinks I can do it on my own without the diet and thinks SBD is a crock. He says that if anyone restricts what they eat and workout more intensely they will loose weight. I tend to agree with him. But the SBD helps you to get a jumpstart on eating right. I think that is great for people because I realize that not everyone lives such a healthy lifestyle like we do. I only used it to rid myself of the last 7-10 babyweight gain. It was a great boost. Still, I think I will stick with it for a bit.
Take care ladies....

I'd do two or three weeks on Phase 2 before going to maintenance, but I'm cautious (and have more to lose and potentially more to screw up than you did). You want to reintroduce the higher-glycemic foods you've avoided in Phase I slowly to make sure you can identify any that might affect your appetite and your weight rather than add them all at once and lose track of what you're eating. Another option could be to go into maintenance mode, but journal what you eat so you can look back should your weight start to climb again and switch to something else if you've eaten a real trigger food.
Hey, tell your DH he's all wet (not really, but you get my point)! Too many studies and too many reputable sources have identified refined carbs as problem foods that are triggering diabetes, obesity, and heart disease (kind of like the studies that said cigarettes can cause cancer that everyone pooh-poohed) even in supposedly healthy kids, much less killing the grownups. And all the WW dropouts who joined SBD (me included), ate the (supposedly correct) WW way, exercised 'til we were dropping, counted points, journaled every dumb morsel we put into our mouths, and paid many bucks to go to pep rallies every week, would agree and send him a hearty, all-in-fun razzberry.
You've done great! Continued success, whichever phase you go on to next...

You did it!
