Hi everyone I was wondering how much everyone has lost? And how fast? I need to lose 15 pounds. I have a four month old and a five year old and I need to go from 140 back to my pre baby weight 120-125, I think even 130 would make me smile. I love carbs but I don't eat much so I really want to find the willpower and give this a try. Any ideas, anyone want a buddy? I need a good kick in the butt to stick to this. I want to start tomorrow but might wait till monday, as I like to procastinate.

Thanks!

Hi there...I'm new to the diet also. I'm halfway into phase 1, so far I have lost 4 pounds. I was hoping it would be more, but I am PMS'ing so I'm chalking it off to that. I'm in the same boat as you with the amount of weight to lose; I'm at about 145 and would like to get to 130 (preferrably less, but I'm trying to be realistic for age 37 and two kids!). I gained about 18 pounds last year from some medicine I was on and that depressed me! So far so good, but I had a bad day yesterday and actually had some carbs. My energy was so low that I could barely move around the house. So I had a chicken salad wrap and felt 100 percent better. I'm not upset about it, because I think my body needed it. And it was only one meal of no-no, back on track for dinner. Let me know how you make out when you start. I'm new to the posting so we can buddy up!

I am also working off baby weight too (my baby is 7mos. old).

I have 10lbs to get to my pre-preg. weight and want to lose another 30lbs on top of that.

Good luck to you, you can do it =)

I lost 2 pounds in a week - I have 25 total, so 23 left. I was hoping it would come off faster the first couple of weeks. Good luck!

Hi Andrea,

I've been on this diet for 6 days now and have only lost a half a pound! But that's because I only have about 5 to lose. That is from Holiday weight gain and vacation weight gain. I think the reason it's coming off so slow is cause I have so little to lose plus I haven't been working out much this past week. So keep that in mind when you start. Also, about the carbs, this way of eating will really help curb the "munchies" so to speak, it has me! I actually had 3 different cakes in my house all week and didn't touch them! Normally I eat at least half of a whole cake and my family gets mad at me! LOL! But not this time, not a taste, not a touch and that has NEVER happened before! Anyway, good luck, you should do well on this diet, sorry, WOE I mean! :)

Hi Andrea,

I started phase 1 on Jan 5 and went to phase 2 on Jan 19. During the first week of P1 I lost nine pounds. I didn't lose any pounds during the second week, but I could see a major difference in how my clothes fit. I haven't measured my "inches", but I'm sure I've lost some. After one week of P2, I'm down another pound for a grand total of ten pounds in three weeks. I definitely feel a lot better since I've been "on the beach" and my clothes are fitting better every day.

I was like you in the beginning - I wanted to put it off "until next week". But my bf wouldn't listen to my excuses about how I needed more time to meal plan and grocery shop. I tried to tell him that I needed to eat all this non-SBD food in the fridge before it spoiled - he told me he would make sure it was eaten. He basically kicked me in the butt and got me started and I'm glad he did because now I am one week closer to my goal than I would have been if I had waited. So get started now!

im new here, glad to find other SBDer's here...been doing SBD since Jan 5 and lost almost 14 lbs. Was a HUGE Dr Pepper drinker, but now it looks too sweet when others have it poured in a glass. On phase 2 now added few carbs, mostly fruit and Rye bread along wth the controlled carb Orowheat bread, all fiber cereal, which took some getting use to. But overall my sugar cravings went away. Very Amazing to a soda drinker like myself. Now taking trips to organic Whole Foods markets here in Plano,TX. Great place to look for foods I need and enjoy!

Hi Andrea,

Are you still nursing the new baby?
