Starting Day 1 of Phase 1 Finally!

Okay I finally kicked myself and said I'll start this. It's day one and all I've had is breakfast I'm trying to find something suitable for lunch. I'm really hungry though. For breakfast I had an egg which I usually do anyways with fat free cheese. It was really hard to eat an egg with out bread, but I made myself. I need to go buy groceries so I can have some options. Though I hate veggies except for celery, lettuce and cucumbers.

I'm just starting P1 today too. A friend told me about SBD on Sunday, he's been thinking about starting it for a week or so. I skimmed the book Sunday, and thought it looked great. Yesterday, I bought the book and read through it. I tried a dinner that I thought was SBD friendly (turns out it was), and I think I can do this. I didn't do well for breakfast, as I got up late today. I will have to fix stuff ahead I guess. I'm starving for lunch, but I think I will just do the tuna salad that's in the book. It says it's one serving, but it looks like a lot of food to me. I'm so excited about this now, that I've been able to keep from snacking just because of the excitement. I can't count on that lasting through more than this morning though, so I will have to go shopping at lunch and get appropriate foods.

Good luck.

How's it goin' jazz? I almost made it, but I had to add a second snack this afternoon. That wouldn't be a problem, but all I had with me were pistacios or some cereal bars I have in my desk from before I did the SBD (those used to be breakfast for me). I decided that pistacios were the better choice, but I don't know how realistic that was. I somehow managed to stop with just a second helping of 30, but I'm starving! Oh well. I'm headed home for dinner in a couple minutes, and I have such a nice dinner planned that I don't think I will be tempted by anything forbidden. We will see...

Hi guys! I just started yesterday (1/27) too! I was supposed to start Monday but with the weather never got to the store. I did good yesterday but as of breakfast this morning I can tell that yogurt for 2 weeks is going to get old. I will have to break it up with eggs this weekend.

Good luck to all of you. I'm starting Phase one for the third time... I figure three's a charm.... anyways from this board I've really noticed that you have to eat whenever your hungry and have to eat all three meals and two snacks a day to lose and keep your blood sugar at an even keel all day.....

I plan on having a semi-cesaer salad this afternnon for lunch. (by semi I mean with low cal, sugar free, low fat dressing) with chicken and no croutons.... the giving up bread was easy for me it's the low fat stuff that I don't really care for. I love cheese! But regular cheese. This time I bought the low fat cheese and drink A LOT of water.... Hope it works this time and I continue on to P2!

Good luck to you all.....

PS: Plus I'm not going to weigh myself until the first two weeks are up.... I start getting discouraged when the scales doesn't show anything and fall back into my old habits... this time I'm really going to do it right ;o)

Good Luck peacelily, hopefull all of us beginner will be able to help each other along the way. I know it gets frustrating but unlike some diets this very restrictive eating part is only two weeks, that's not so bad!

Good luck to all of you. It's exciting to know I'm not the only noob who started P1 yesterday. I get bored with the same old stuff day after day, so I'm shaking it up some to keep it interesting.

I found a hard boiled egg makes a great breakfast, but I'm having a hard time finding veggies to go with it. I'm not a morning person, but I think I'm gonna need to eat something for breakfast if I'm gonna keep from starving to death by noon. Especially since I either have to bring stuff with me or go hungry. One of my favorite things lately is Good Hope Vanilla red tea by The Republic of Tea, and that keeps me from getting too hungry too quick. It's also caffeine free so it helps me keep from getting dehydrated, I just have to go to the bathroom about 6 or 7 times during work. Is it possible to drink too much water?
