Okay,

It's day 5 and I've been doing pretty darned well, but now I'm sick and I'm really wanting comfort food. Soup, toast etc. Also, generally beginning to crave fruit and yogurt (the only yogurt in my fridge is fruit juice sweetened).

Finally, I'm a little constipated since starting the diet.

Any suggestions, especially re: being sick are appreciated.

What about some home thrown soup made from beef or chick broth with meat and veggies you add, celery chopped tomato etc??? That should be safe, diet ginger ale would relax your tummy...

I'm a little constipated since starting the diet.
Have some Metamucil 15 minutes before each meal.

not sure if you're eating a lot of cheese, but that could do it...try adding some high fiber veggies like artichokes (9g) and asparagus (3g).

Have some chicken noodle soup and some diet gingerale. Just weed out the noodles!

When I make chicken noodle soup I give the noodles to my dog. (Damn thing is so smart he relizes I'm not eating them, so he won't either. But at least once they hit his bowl I know I won't put them in my mouth.)
