Snacks

I know snacks are supposed to be "required", but I am finding it really hard to force myself to eat mid-morning and whenever I am NOT hungry. Today, I had scrambled eggs (1 whole + 2 whites) and veggies along with Canadian bacon. I grabbed a Skinny Cappachino on my way into work & am now (12:15) kinda hungry. Mid-afternoon snacks are not a problem-o at all. I look forward to those.

Advice? Opinions?

I have a late breakfast most of the time (around 9 or 10) and if I have my mid morning snack I seem to push off then, then afternoon snack and then dinner.

But also, that non fat cappucino is really functioning as your snack. that's like 75-100 calories of milk, no?. it's not bad, at all, but it's a snack. if you think about it that way, you're right on track!

Thank you all for your replies! I just am trying to change my behavior to NOT eat when I am NOT hungry. That in itself is a major victory! LOL.

I guess I won't worry too much about the mid-morning snack, then. And the Cap was a "snack" persay. ;-) Tasty one, too! LOL

Hope - I used to work in a coffee shop and you have never seen the peppiest girls in the world! Our habit was so bad that we took to EATING the beans & not the chocolate covered ones. That habit was so tough to break. But now I am a coffee snob. I can only drink freshly ground & gourmet *coughGloriaJeanscough* coffee. I have weaned myself to go so far as to mixing the yummy coffee with store bought whole beans. Saves on $$$ & makes the good stuff go longer.

Thanks!

Yep! Since milk is now allowed (have only the reccomended 2 cups a day for milk products) go ahead & have a cap or a latte - skim milk only - maybe soy, too, not sure on that one, though..... The SF syrup is okay, too. And quite good. No mochas or anything, though. Too much sugar.

Ahhhhhhhh......Caribou.....mmmmmmmmmmm....... (Milwaukee area has its first Caribou now.)

Well, if you are used to gas station coffee drinks like "cappachinos" (which really are not capps at all!!!) have a latte with sugar free syrup. Lattes are 1/3 espresso, 3/4 milk. (Ratio). Cappachinnos are 1/3 espresso, 1/3 froth, 1/3 milk. Stronger coffee flavor. Otherwise an iced latte is good too. I would only stick to these as all others are so high in calories and fat!

If I missed any - let me know. I would love to add more into the rotation! ;-)
