Hi

Just started officially today.  Had been kind of getting into it gradually over the last week or so but my So and I had to read the book before he wanted to really "start".  So he went and did the grocery shopping yesterday and we spent way more $ then I ever spent in a week on food so that's a little scary but he went to the most expensive store in town of course (men!) so I will do it next week.  He's not a shopper.

So everyone is telling me I'm crazy to start today but I'm doing it.  I want to stop now.  I am sick of feeling tired and fat.  I'm sick of not looking like I want to look.

I'm not afraid of being hungry because judging by the breakfast I ate this morning and the snack I had an hour ago, I'll be okay.  I'm actually looking forward to it.

My one huge hurdle is going to be cooking for my dd who is 10 and is the most fussy eater you'll ever meet.  Last night, my SO, myself and my son all had swordfish and asparagus and salad.  She eats none of that.  So we made her spaghetti.  She hates vegetables, hates most meat and absolutely hates fish.  It's a real challenge.  But I told her I won't cook her a seperate meal each night so she's going to have to learn to like some new things.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Why is it that just on the very day you start a diet, a Demon with a box of Krispy Kremes always shows up???

Hi Tara,

Sounds like on your first day you already have troubles, but it sounds like you're armed with your salad and dressing. :) That's a good start if you make it through today. Just remember what they're filling their bodies with versus what you're trying to do to yours. If you are like some of the people that have been on SB for at least 4 days they are so energized and they feel good. I'm sure after your co-workers are done eating that food they will feel tired and sluggish. I know I usually do.

That's all about to change and keep up the good work and arm yourself with veggies!
