I'm doing research and planning to start South Beach this Saturday (Friday night is my annual girl's night out bender and I will be drinking, period). Anyway, I went to the grocery store and looked at the labels for different marinades/apices. Since I will be eating a lot of meat, I was wondering what I can use to flavor it up a bit. I know we're not exactly counting carbs on South Beach, but how many are permissable in a spice/marinade? For example, I saw several with 3 carbs or less, which is 1% or less of what a "normal" diet should contain. I guess the question is, are there any hard and fast rules on what can go on your food?
Does anyone know? I want to do this right
