I just started SBD today.  I did really well.  However, I have discovered that I am one really hungry gal at night.  I have stuck to foods on the list, so I dont hurt myself too badly.  What time does everyone stop eating at night?

I had the same problem when I started out, and I still have it on occasion. What I was told by a friend who is a doctor, is that insulin resistance can have that effect when your body suddenly stops getting the sugars. What worked for me was taking Metamucil a few minutes before meals. It took a couple days before the Metamucil helped though. Don't get discouraged, this too shall pass.

I'm with you--I rarely eat actual meals. I'm on my own for dinner most nights, so it's super rare for me to sit and eat a "dinner"--or any meal really. What I usually do is make a mini-buffet. I'll have a small entree (shrimp, a couple of pieces of eggplant with spaghetti sauce on top, soup, stir fry, fajitas) and eat that, then I have a plate of veggies and dip that stays by me through the evening.

I can't imagine eating the suggested two cups of veggies for dinner all in one sitting, but over an hour and a half while I do my reading for grad school or over whatever work I brought home--that's manageable to me. Of course, I am the world's slowest eater! Personally, I don't believe that broccoli at 8:30 is going to affect me any differently than it will at 7:00, especially if you're generally sensible about what you eat. Usually after I finish my veggies I'll have a bite of something sweet, but not much more, since I've nibbled all evening.

I almost always have evening munchies, it's just my pattern of eating--I'm a grazer, not a meal-eater. So far, I've lost 16 pounds since January 6th, so I guess it isn't hurting anything!
