strange...

I'm on day 12 of phase 1, and I've kept myself away from the scale since last Tuesday, in an effort to weigh weekly rather than daily. I'm going nuts trying to figure out if I'm losing or not. I think I'll go back to daily weigh-ins, so that I can stop obsessing about it. Strange I know, but not knowing is worse for me than knowing.

I think my pants feel looser, but not like I expected. I notice that my jeans are easier to zip lately, but when I sit down I get this huge gap in the back and they are really tight across my belly. Is this somewhat normal, or is it as strange as it seems to me?

I've not been measuring, because I just can't make myself do it. (The numbers on the tape measure always depress me more than the numbers on the scale.)

I am on Phase 1 Day 13 myself, I have gone down a size in pants, couldn't wear this pair a while back, I wore them to work on Thursday.

I do not know how much you have to lose, but measure yourself, it won't be as bad as you think! You might be surprised like I was.

As for fit is all depends on the clothes that day. If you are gapping across the back that could be inches lost, but you won't know until you measure!

I couldn't get on the scale today! Somedays I weigh some days I dread! Good luck!

I can tell you what the gap in the back is from. This is a common problem for me. My tummy is pretty flat, and my booty is big (I'm a pear shape). I always have a gap in the back of my pants, especially when I'm sitting. When my stomach is bloated (i.e. TTOM) the gap is barely there.

Is your stomach feeling flatter? The doctor says the belly fat is the first to go. Wooo hooo!

I feel like my tummy is getting smaller, a little anyway. Noticable to me, but not to anyone else yet. My pants zip easier now... no tugging at the waistband to get it to meet in the front anymore... yay! Now that I think back on it, by backside has always been rather large. (Even when I was way too thin!)

I did get back on the scale today, and I'm down another pound and a half from last week. Not a lot, but it's better than I expected since I cheated the weekend away because my whole kitchen was out of commission for a small remodel project and I messed up on what I ordered a couple times. I had been planning all along to do a 3-week phase 1, but I don't think I'm going to do that now. If I stay on phase 1 another week, I will be more likely to give up. This week is shaping up to be a rough one, and I don't need to add to it by trying to stick to a strict phase 1.
