HI everyone! i am starting SBD today…just a few questions...can i eat turkey bacon on phase one with my eggs..if so how much...can i eat like 6 slices!? how about linguisa sausage ?also every Friday night hubby and i get take out Chinese...is there anything i can eat...can i have chicken wings or chicken or beef teriyaki on a stick ? when you can start to eat whole fat cheeses like swiss and gruyere again ?

hi there! i really wish you luck on the SBD. anyhow, i think i can help you with your questions. first of all, do you have the book, cause it answers all your questions in there....

1) turkey bacon - i think you're only allowed two slices a day

2) the sausage is out because the fat content is too high - but you can have chicken sausage.

3) whole cheeses - i think you'll find that the low fat ones taste just as good if not better - but i'm fairly sure that this shouldn't be added back until phase 3

4) chinese food - my chinese restaurant will give me food with no sugar and no msg. msg is made out of beets and should be avoided at all costs. if they can't do this for you, then get all steamed items (steamed veggies, steamed chicken) just to be safe. the wings are okay as long as they're not deep fried.

check the cheese section by the deli...the gourmet cheese...they should have a low-fat swiss..if not, the deli itself may have something

Just two things to be aware of:


If you are going "by the book" - beware of chicken sausage, it could be made with dark meat.
