My first day on SBD!!

I am going to start the SBD today with a friatta recipe that I found on the allrecipes website. I think I am going to add a few more veggies to it so that I have a total of at least half a cup. I hope it turns out! I haven't weighed myself yet this morning to get my beginning weight but I think it is around 189. I would like to lose all the way down to 135. I have a lot of extra baby weight leftover from my two kids!! Wish me luck!

I just finished it and it was yummy. I used onion, garlic, mushrooms, canadian bacon, and spinach. Can you eat as much canadian bacon as you want or is it limited like turkey bacon? Now I just need to figure out what I will have for snack...I have to plan ahead - that is the only way I think I can stick with this!

I believe that a serving size of Canadian bacon is 3 slices.

Welcome to the SBD, Jennifer! We are always glad to have more joining the experience. We hope you will find the message boards helpful. I know I have and I'm only in my second week of Phase 2. It's fun to exchange hints, recipes, mistakes, etc. with each other. It seems that we all have a few questions, confusions and celebrations to confer about.

I found that planning ahead helps, but for me, it's not so much exactly what I am going to eat the next day, but a plan to keep in stock anything that is on the Foods to Enjoy list that I know will keep me from eating something that is a no-no and would hurt the diet.

Best of luck,

Judy

Well, I have been on for two whole days now and I haven't cheated yet BUT I still find myself hungry. I just cannot seem to get full on what I've been eating. I think that I eat until I am full just to find my stomach growling an hour later. I hope that these cravings go away soon because I see my little boy eat something sweet and I just want to snatch it from him! :)

Oh well, I am going to keep trying!!

How about the imagination trick? Imagine you grab the sweet from your child (ignore the screaming), eat it, and then you have finished it. After is has been either imagined or really eaten, you are still in the same place......no more treat, no more on the taste buds. However, there's no guilt after the imagining.

hi - well i am shocked i haven't been hungry...i am on my 4 th day now...and i don’t own a scale but i think i've lost a bit casue my pants feel a little looser...i have not been following the menus, but eating till i 'm full and i guessthats ok ...maybe this will help...in a day i eat a lot of string cheese sticks, i baked a whole pound of jenny-o turkey bacon till it is very crispy then i put it in a bag in the fridge and i eat quite a bit of that in a day...also a big Greek salad with grilled chicken...sugar free jello and fudgesicles.....and coffee of latte with skim milk....i tried Aktins for like 2 days before it and it was too restrictive. I felt woozy on it too...hopefully this will do the trick...i think u just need to really keep eating (or snacking)....I’m new at this too, but just thought i'd tell you what’s been working for me...chris
