Did you guys stay on phase 1 for or are gonna stay on phase 1? Do you all do the typical 14 days or do some of you stay on longer? Ive been on phase 1 for 18 days now, and getting very tired, plus the eggs are getting to me, and I love eggs. Today for snack i tried the cottage cheese with one packet of splenda and a dash of cinnamon, the two bits were ok but the rest just made me go blah! I am sick of eating this way I have one more weekend and week to go until I go to phase 2, i might ask hubby if he wants to buy oatmeal this weekend just for a change see what he says. Well I gotta go kids want to go outside will be back tonight or couple of hours. Later

Jessica,

Don't push yourself to stick it out...sounds like your body is telling you it's time to move to Phase 2, and it's much more important to listen to that than to the date on the calendar that you picked to move on! 18 days is plenty long enough to detox yourself, and it really sounds like you need those good carbs again. Don't be so hard on yourself, buy that oatmeal! If DH is comfortable sticking it out, let him, but you need to listen to your own body and no one else's.

Jessica, it sounds like your body AND your mind are telling you to move to Phase II. You're getting bored with the Phase I choices; here's where the risk of backsliding starts. Buy that oatmeal and enjoy a bowlful! I stayed on Phase I for 17 days, because I ran into a birthday party 10 or so days into it and I ate some cake (chocolate - I'm weak in the face of devil's food chocolate cake). I switched to Phase II because I was looking forward to having oatmeal and apples again.

Good luck!

Hi,

If you are getting bored with P1, by all means, move to P2. That's why Dr. Agatson recommends two weeks on P1 and gives us a maximum of four weeks. If you get bored, you are likely to give up and/or fail.

I stayed on for four weeks because I had only lost 3 pounds in the first week, and then never again. I didn't lose again until P2, so perhaps you will be happier there and then will lose more weight as well. P2 is so much more livable, which is the most important thing for long-term success because this is a *lifestyle change,* not just a temporary solution to what is for most of us a permanent problem.

If your DH wants to stay on longer, let him. But he might be jealous when he sees you enjoying high-fiber carbs that he can't have on P1.

Good luck!

you guys are right I will get that oatmeal and cereal and will eat eggs every other day, Ive just had really good success with phase 1 I've lost 16lbs to date on it, and I am really excited. yesterday my husband did a boo-boo and had a bowel of ice cream, it made me so mad that I had one too, and now I am paying for it, I am even more tired and I have a headache! Never doing that again, thats why I was surprised when i weighed myself I lost another pound. Ive hit 130. Ive never felt so good about myself as I do right now. eating dinner last night was hoo hum, I am sick of fish, and brocolli. No more. well I am off thanks for the insights.
