Day 5, my first fast food outing.

I did good for breakfast - 2 deviled eggs and a half a cup of V8.

We went to church where I had to face one of my biggest vices - doughnuts. I managed to not eat one, but it was sooooooo hard (after 5 days!!). We were invited to lunch where they had a crustless quiche and salad (and I passed up the rolls and the giant platter of all my favorite cookies, and then carrot cake! TORTURE!!!!). Unfortunately, I didn't really fill up - the salad wasn't very good, and the quiche was OK but had cheese so I didn't want to eat too much, so around 3:30 we went to McDonald's, and I had my first fast food lunch on SBD. I ordered a grilled chicken cobb salad, which was surprisingly good, and ate most of it without dressing (I put on a tiny bit of dressing at the very end when I had finished all the chicken). I again managed to avoid the intense cravings for the giant platter of double chocolate cookies.

It's just awful. I made some jello, and I like it, but I think I like it too much because right now, I can't stop thinking about having some. That can't be good!!

Help me make it through this....I have a feeling I'm going to be in Phase I longer than 14 days until I can get these cravings out of my head for good.

My first week I ate lots of the sugar free jello, but then as the cravings came under control, I stopped. Now I have it now and again. That was a really tough Day 5- but you made it through! Wow! By next week you should have a much easier time. If you know you are going to be out and about away from SBD foods, throw some string cheese in your pocketbook. I did that in the beginning so I'd have something to fall back on if needed. I think it took me to week three to pass by non-SBD food and not notice, but by week two it was much better. Keep plenty of SBD food stocked in this week and bring what you need with you!
