My two weeks of P1 are up, I lost.......
| Tue, 03-09-2004 - 1:05pm |
My two weeks of Phase one are up today.
I lost a total of 8 pounds, but the loss was all
in the first week. I lost nothing in the second week.
I don't know if it is normal not to lose in the second week,
but I am happy with the overall loss.
I am going to stay on P1 a bit longer, since my DH has now started
the diet. I am going to remain in P1 with him, and then move to P2 light.
To those of you just finishing P1, how much did you lose?
Did you lose in both weeks one and two?

I have purchased the lateral thigh trainer, I have used it once, and I combine weights with the routine, I just need to get in the habit/routine of using it. Hopefully this will help. I don't see too much change in the way my clothes fit. I believe I will be a 14 forever.....I'm okay with that though...
I am 5'10" and my goal is 160. A total loss of 23 pounds. I do see a lot of postings on this wonderful sight of people starting out around where I am, but want to be down in the 120-130 range......I honestly don't think that is possible for me. I would love to think so, but.....I will see where I am when I hit my goal, and decide from there.
I am also 5'10. Honestly, I think that 120 or 130 is too small for our height. At least that is the way that I feel. I have more to lose than you do, but I am encouraged by your 11 pound loss! That is fantastic. I think 11 pounds is great! If I get through 3 weeks and have lost 11 pounds, I will be glad about it.
I am with you though, I think 160, or maybe even 150 at the most is more reasonable for our heighth.
I can't tell much difference in my clothing yet. I have started on my treadmill though.
I will add weights a bit later.

I stepped on my scale this morning (my ACTUAL 3 weeks), and I have lost another pound. That equals 12 pounds total. My short term goal is for another 3 pounds by next Wednesday, that would be a total of a 15 pound loss in exactly a month (4 weeks).
(I am 5'4" and my goal is to be below 110, BUT I have a tiny frame. I am not sure what I weigh at the moment... it is my TOM and I went a bit crazy with my peanut butter cravings this am!)
I first started SB 2 weeks before Halloween. I lost 10 pounds in a month. 6 the first week, then 2, then nothing, then another 2. I wanted to lose a few more but then Tanksgiving and Xmas came. I remained the same weight (in a very loose Phase 3!!!) but then came Valentine's Day and I put 3 back on.
My dh and I started P1 again to get those 3 lbs off and to continue the good work. I do not have a set number in mind, but I will know, I think when I get there.
Also, if one remains on P1 too long, the weight loss can stall. You may want to add one carb to have every day like an apple or something.

Great news is that I am not craving any carbs, bread, who cares, pasta, what pasta?? Wonderful deserts (like a big bowl of chocolate ice cream), is what I would like to have, but I have made a choice not to. It's not a craving, just bad habits die hard. I haven't cheated this past 3 weeks. I did have a pampered chef party at my house a couple of weeks ago and I made the decision to partake in the wonderful desert...other than that, my slate is clean....definitely enjoying the new desert with the fudgesicle, peanut butter and redi-whip though....my new bowl of chocolate ice cream!
My dh has been great too which is a huge help. He's seeing a big difference in me and is proud of me for sticking with this WOE. He lifts weights a lot, so this WOE is good for him too, protien and that....HE DOES have that big bowl of ice cream, oreo's and those darn girl scout cookies though. He hasn't lost any weight (he doesn't want to - actually trying to gain), but his eating the same meals as I means the world to me.
