I'm a 31 year old mom of 3. With each baby I seemed to keep 15 extra pounds, and I was about 20 overweight to start with. I'd like to lose 65-70 pounds on SBD, but I'm not in a major hurry. I'm on Day 7 and have lost 4 and I am absolutely SHOCKED at how this diet has eliminated cravings. I am a total carb addict who can eat half a pan of brownies in a heartbeat, but I have not had any sweets at all for a week! And it has been relatively easy...I'm just thrilled.
My question is about calories. I know we're not supposed to count calories, but is there a minimum? I've actually found my appetite overall is reduced and I can be hungry and just not care about it (it's very bizarre for me) and then I get hypoglycemic and all shaky and woozy. I'm trying to eat on a schedule, but it's not always possible for me. Any ideas?
Also, I know we're supposed to stay away from bars. There are the new carb control candy bars with artificial sweetners that claim 0 impact carbs. Are these okay as a once in a blue moon treat? Obviously they're better than a Snickers, but are they going to screw up my weight loss?
Finally, if I'm drinking plenty of water each day, is it okay to have a couple of diet cokes? They're my one vice and I don't want to give them up.
Thanks! I look forward to becoming part of this board!
