Help! I'm on day 11, I've lost 8 lbs and I want to quit! My goal is ten, but I'm so bored and I know it's going to be another boring weekend with no drinking or ice cream to make me happy.

I think you should move on to Phase 2 right away! You are 2 lbs. from your goal, and you didn't have much to lose to begin with. If you are getting bored, and ready to throw in the towel, it is definately time to move on and add some variety.

I agree, definitely move on to the next phase because you don't want to blow it because you're bored. Plus you've done so very well! Good job! ;-)

From what I've read, Dr. A has planned the diet for real people who go off it occasionally, especially when we are at or close to goal weight. While he doesn't want any of us to use the diet to "yo-yo" our weight, the SBD way of eating allows for "cheats" but always go back to the best foods for our bodies afterward. At this point, I'm not cheating because I have a lot to lose, but when I do get to my goal weight, I know I will have to deal with an occasional cheat while learning not to go into a non-stop carb fest.

Have fun this weekend and bring yourself back to SBD Sunday afternoon and Monday.
