Bertucci's on SBD?

I went to Bertucci's tonight; it was last minute so didn't have time to really plan what I'd eat. While there baby daughter was not so happy so had to order quick - I had sole piccata & a side of 'tuscan vegetables'. It was delicious and I'm thinking I did okay - no bread, none of husband's pizza, no pasta & no salad because I didn't want it without dressing and I'm pretty sure their dressing has lots of sugar.

Any thoughts on experiences with Bertucci's on SBD?

Congratulations! I've never been there but sounds like you did great- the sole was likely dredged in some flour but not so much as to harm when in such a situation. I've found most places will have oil and vingear in addition to their listed salad dressings. Surviving any meal while watching someone else eating pizza deserves a round of applause!

Good for you, Ellen, for staring temptation in the face and laughing!!!

I miss Bertucci's. I used to live in Philly, but that's the only place that I knew they existed. I used to love to eat the basil leaf they put in the middle of the pizza :) We don't have any places like that out here in Michigan.

Over spring break, I went to visit the family in NJ, and we went to this AWESOME restaurant called La Nonna Piancone's in Bradley Beach that we've gone to for years. I was SO good-- my dad even tried to convince me to eat bread with olive oil and fresh parmesan, but I didn't give in! I had filet mignon with gorgonzola (SO YUMMY), steamed veggies, and skipped the potatoes that came with it. I also had a salad with buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, and a balsamic dressing. Italian restaurants tend to serve things other than pizza and pasta nowadays, which is great, since I am Italian and love Italian food (duh).
