I am just 3 days into phase 1. I have tried and like Jennie-O Turkeys burger patties. I get the oens taht are lean, but it uses ground turkey. I look at the nutritional info and it has like 6g fat and 0g carbs per serving.

Are these ok for phase 1? It is not in the book except to allow chicken and turkey breasts. It says ground beef is ok, so I assume ground turkey is as well, is that right?

It also says no processed turkey or chicken? Is that considered processed since it is ground. Thanks for any help!!

Also, How long did it normally take to start the weight loss, was it the first day, second day? I am on my third day, but have not weighed yet as I wanted to give it a week so as to not be disappointed.

Yes, ground turkey is great, as long as it's ground turkey breast.

Thank you so much for your advice. I will restrict eating the jennie-o lean turkey burger patties. Do you think they would be ok for phase 2? Or are they out all together? If so I will need to get some ground turkey breast if i can find it and see if i can season it up.

Thanks again

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in here. I LOVE turkey burgers, and had also gotten the Jennie-O ones. I realized they were stalling my weight loss, so I got the extra lean ground turkey instead. They were a little dry on the grill by themselves, so I mixed the raw turkey with some LF cheddar cheese, worschester sauce, chipotle tabasco sauce, dried onions and some seasoning salt. Formed them into burgers, and grilled! They were SO good! I'm anxious to try other things thrown in, but this was by far my fave!
