1st day! Couple of questions

I did a search for these questions, but couldn't find them answered, so I apologize if they have been asked before:
1. Is the quantity of V-8 limited? The book says 6 oz, but I thought this diet wasn't about limiting things. Just curious.
2. Is it ok to have fat free half and half in coffee in the am?
3. Nuts - it only lists peanuts, pecans and pistachios. What about almonds or cashews?
4. Edamame - soy beans in the pod - ok to have or not?
Also - I forgot to bring my lunch from home. Would it be ok to have a salad with a scoop of tuna or chicken salad from the deli? I know that is made with regular mayo. Any other suggestions for a deli lunch?
