First Full Week!!!!
| Fri, 03-19-2004 - 8:23pm |
Finally finished with my first full week on SBD. Had a few minor setbacks, but I think I did really well over all. Lost 3.5 pounds and I'm proud. Next week my boss has challenged me not to drink any soda while at my desk. She's placed a rather large work related reward out there if I can do it. I know that the weight will fall off faster next week if I'm drinking more water and a lot less soda (even though it's diet). I have noticed that some cravings have come back. They aren't really for carbs in general, more for specific foods that I used to eat a lot. Any suggestions on how to avoid these. My DH isn't on SBD (nor does he need to be) and is continuing to eat these foods, so they are still in the house. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you all so much
Brook

I still want non- SBD foods out of my sight, although my cravings are just about gone. I just don't want to be always challenging myself. Can you put all non- SBD foods in a separate cabinet and cover them in a certain part of the refrigerator. Leave the room when DH is eating them. Also, he can still eat SBD, it's a healthy way of eating, even if not trying to lose weight. My DH is now eating nuts and raisins instead of ice cream in the evenings, (I don't like raisins- another trick- buy him non-SBD foods you don't like!)
Can you find SBD versions of what foods you miss? This board is very creative- they may be somewhere under the "search" feature or you could ask for ideas!

Brook,
If you are still having cravings and drinking lots of diet soda there could be a connection.
