I was looking for a canned soup that was Phase 1 friendly and found Campbell's Cheddar Cheese soup in the cabinent at home, there's a small army of soup cans in there. Anyway, I wasn't sure if it was alright:

Fat: 5g

Carbs:12g

Sugars:2g

I'm thinking it's too high in carbs but I wasn't sure.

Thanks,

Emily

Hi Emily,

My first thought is no, it is probably not phase 1 friendly. The carbs and sugars don't sound very good. And, my guess is that the soup includes non-SBD friendly ingredients - modified food starches, added sugars, hydrogenated oils???

We need to look at all these factors, not just carbs and sugars, to determine if it is SBD friendly.

Take a look at your canned soups again - do you have Progresso fat free lentil soup? This one is SBD P1-friendly!!
