Hello everyone. I've been lurking on the board for a few days, thought I should introduce myself. My name is Nicole, I'm 27 and from Massachusetts. I'm a new mom, My daughter will be one on Easter. I put on a lot of weight with my pregnancy and I'm ready to start losing it. I am still nursing but I am going to try doing P1. I've read that nursing moms should skip to Phase 2? I think I did really well today- followed the day 1 menu from the book to a tee. My hubby is doing it with me, thank goodness. The only complaint, I am having a major caffeine withdrawal headache though :( I may have to switch back to regular and nix the decaf coffee. That's all I can think of to say for now:)

I look forward to chatting with you all. Take Care

Hi Nicole! I am restarting Phase 1 today. The weekends are hard for me and I usually fall offtrack. I am gonna try my hardest to stay strick this time around.

It is nice when you have someone who is following the SBD w./ you. My boyfriend is and it makes it so much easier since now we only eat what I cook.

If I am correct, you can have one caffinated drink a day. I think I read that in the book somewhere!

P.S. your little baby is sooooooo cute :D

It is not necessary to give up caffeine.

Hello Nicole. My name is Tara and i'm 26 also from Massachusetts. My daughter Taylor is 14 months old and I have not really done much to try and get back into shape since she was born. Today is my 2nd day on Phase I. I feel your pain with the headache. Yesterday when I left work I had a splitting headache and stopped for a coffee on the way home. I am not even going to try the decaff. I need my caffeine!!

I wish you luck and anyone else starting this. It's going to be hard.

Hi!! I started yesterday and it is really hard. I have aheadache too, and I feel lightheaded alot. I guess it's an adjustment.

I too am breastfeeding. I have a six month old son and I was wondering what I should do. If he were a newborn I wouldn't do it, but now he's nursing less and less so I'm thinking I should be OK. Plus, it's only for 2 weeks. I would appreciate it if someone could answer the question about BFeeding though.

Good luck...to us both!!!
