HOLD ME BACK LADIES!!!! I'm trying to not do it! I'm not hungry or anything and I still have a slight headache from sugar withdrawls but I really want to eat something sweet to satisfy not only craving but my AF symptoms too :( Is there anything that is sweet but good on our list that I'm over looking? I don't want any more nuts or cheese sticks!

TIA - vonnie (trying to be strong)

You can try one of the ricotta recipes, or just sprinkle some Splenda on some ricotta.

I just found sugar free Carefree Koolerz gum, only 5 cals per piece. It's like REAL bubble gum. Otherwise, try sugar free Life Savers...4 for 30 cals. I'm assuming you're at work or unable to leave, that's why I'm suggesting easy to have in your desk snacks!

Ladies.....let's not forget sugar-free chocolate Velamints!!!

This board praised them months ago. I keep a pack in the car with me -- just in case!! I think they are only 5 calories!!

I've been experimenting with a chocolate sauce -- i don't really measure, but here's the jist... about a tbsp of ff half and half, tbsp of chocolate powder, pinch of smart balance spread, 2 splendas, then I microwave. It's not heaven, but it'll do when I really need something chocolate and I can't stomach another ricotta creme. Plus I'll add some peanuts too it and make believe they are chocolate covered peanuts!! It's pretty good.

Vonnie,

Have you tried a spoon of natural peanut butter? It's wonderful, sweet, and filling, and a really quick snack. If you're on phase 2, you can have PB with a pear or small apple. Also, on Phase 1 I lived for sugar free jello for dessert with my lunch. Peach flavor is my favorite, also strawberry banana.

Just to clarify, chocolate Velamints are not 'chocolates', they are hard candies with 0g sugar and 2g sugar alcohol. I think these would be 'limited' according to the Good Carbs Good Fats guide.

Gotcha - just clarifying for others. Also, it would be important to note that some digestive systems do not agree with sugar alcohols. The Velamints have only 2g, and I haven't heard of anyone having problems with them.

Thanks ladies - they all seem like great ideas... I really think the had I dipped into something yesterday I would of blown it! I was looking for the double chocolate double fudge cake with a scoop of chocolate icecream on top! I managed to refrain from anything and instead had a little helping of yogurt. I don't know if it's on the OK list or not but it was a couple of spoonfuls and it helped a ton.

Today I brought my cheesestick and some celery sticks with hummus. When I start getting a craving I'll scoop a little out to keep me going.

Thanks for all the great ideas - I'm going to pick up some jello... almost one week down and one to go! vonnie:)
