Craving sweets!!

I can't believe I am having withdrawals. it's only my second day and I am dying for some cheese and crackers (and I don't usually eat any at all!!). How crazy is that?? Let me also mention that I don't have a sweet tooth. I eat cookies or candy *very* sporadically but I can't stop thinking of them. I am not even hungry. I just think my body feels low on sugar. I can't wait to get home and have some more jello (I had some with lunch).

How do you distract yourself from these thoughts?

Happy

DAIRY

Low-fat milk (fat-free and 1%)

Fat-free 1/2 & 1/2 (less than 2 tablespoons)

Soy milk

Yogurt: low-fat or fat-free plain or vanilla light/lite only

This is from the updated list that was posted...can someone please help me out here to tell me if the yogurt I have is good to eat on this diet?

Dominica,

DON'T QUIT!! It really is easy, it just takes a little bit of patience to figure out.

One of the features of this WOE is that you eat foods from the foods to enjoy list until satisfied. Also, with a few exceptions, there is no counting. It seems that we sometimes get a bit wrapped up in portion sizes - these are suggested portions to 'start with'. If you are not satisfied and feel the need to eat more, it is best that you eat something. Just make sure it is from the foods to enjoy list. If you are unsatisfied you will reach for something not SBD-friendly.

Has this helped a little??

You CAN do it - we are here to help. Keep asking questions!

Hugs,

Karen :)

Thank you for the support...I had a granola bar..I felt like I had already failed..and now I feel even worse for having that. I have seen a difference within the last week. But, often at times, I get really confused as to what I am allowed and not allowed to eat. Here in Canada, I am unable to find alot of low carb food. I mean we don't have a large selection of cheese/yogurt/riccota to choose from...so i get anything low fat that I can find.

I am discouraged now because I realize I messed up today and I have so much weight to lose still...its really very bothersome.

I guess I am having a really crummy day...But thank you Karen for your support.

Thanks,

Domenica

Hi Happy,

The carb control yogurt is not such a great choice.

Thank you Cathy,

I read that thread last night after I posted my message. :-(
