A coworker and I eat out pretty much everyday for lunch. What are some lunch items we can grab while we are eating out that are P1 friendly?

Thanks in advance!!!

Grilled chicken ceasar is a favorite of mine when eating out.

Thanks for the good info on the Caesar salad...I love them and could eat them for every meal!!! I kinda made a guess as to whether it was good on SBD or not. It's a lot better than my regular turkey sandwiches with chips and/or a loaded baked potato from Bear Rock Cafe!!!

I wish my coworker and I brought our lunch more often to work (save money and better food choices). But after being at work half of the day, I love the chance to get out of the office for lunch and go somewhere. I sit in a tiny office with no windows all day, so getting to leave is GREAT!!!

Thanks!!!

Jeanie,

What about suggesting bringing lunch and with the weather getting warmer, find a nice place to eat outdoors.

I have lunch out often- usually buying my lunch somewhere and bringing it back to the lunch room at work. I alternate between:

Chef salad with blue cheese dressing- no croutons

Salad with chicken on top- again bluecheese dressing although I try and keep to 2 Tab.

At a deli- grilled chicken and roasted veggies

Sometimes- Health food store buffet- load up with veggies and a bit of tofu

Thanks for all of your advice ladies. I'll recommend that we bring our lunch and eat out at the picnic table outside of the office at least one day a week.

I work in a doctors' office in one of the most highly stressed areas. Going out and eating, even if it's a busy restaurant is relaxing for us. We get a change of scenery and get to get away from all the patients (my department doesn't close down for lunch like everyone else's in the office).

But to save money (going to law school, hopefully, in fall of 2005), I would like to not eat out so much.

Thanks for your advice. I love omelets and I'll try to find a deli around here that makes them.

I just saw that Subway has some new salads that look great. There's a Garden Fresh, Mediterranean Chicken, Classic Club with Ranch & grilled chicken & baby spinich. You might give them a try!

MMMMmmmmmm....those salads sound yummy!!! I'm not big on the Wendy's salads because I'm such a picky eater. I haven't tried the McDonalds' salads yet either!!!

Applebees has a VERY good chicken caesar salad.

Thanks ladies!!!

My office loves ordering Chinese Food and last week we went to a local Chinese Place for lunch but, I'm still in phase 1 so I ordered chicken and broccoli and had them put the souce on the side and hold the rice. Amazing thing was that I wasn't hungry after finishing my lunch and this was certaining different than anything I had ordered. My best suggestion is that if you and your coworkers go out just do your best.

Hey Jeanie,

You might find that bringing your lunch is a LOT more cost-effective than eating out. Even sitting on a park bench with your lunch is good :)

Anyways, I am a first-year law student, so if you need any help/advice/whatever about law school, feel free to e-mail me at beccalinda@hotmail.com. Applying to law school is not the easiest thing in the world, esp. because there are no interviews, so ask me anything. Right now you need to be thinking about taking your LSAT... just take LOTS of practice tests!!! The earlier you start studying, the better off you are.

Good luck!
