get too low? I woke up this morning feeling shaky, tired and lightheaded. I had a cup of skim milk hoping the sugars in it would make me feel better. I feel better. But I was just wondering if someone else is getting lightheaded too?

Thank you,

Happy

It is very common to feel light-headed during phase 1.

Hello,

I had a lot of problems with my sugar going real low when I started. I did end up going to my doctor about this issue. He encouraged me to stay on the diet, but to make some adjustments. A lot of the adjustments are the same things that were suggested in the previous posting.

One of the things that made the biggest difference for me, was when I totally cut out my caffeine intake.

I am in Phase2 now and feeling better, I felt rough for a few weeks, but it was worth it! So dont give up!! Feeling good will come and your body will adjust. As my doctor put it " some peoples bodies adjust easy and others just kind of fight the adjustment"

If it gets really bad ( as mine did ) you may want to speak to your doctor, so that he can put your mind at ease.

I really haven't been having three snacks, just one. This was my menu yesterday:

Breakfast:

2 quiche cups to go + cup skim milk

Lunch:

Broiled flank steak + green beans + stewed tomatoes + SF jello

Midafternoon snack:

10 grape tomatoes

Dinner:

Left over stewed tomatoes omelet + SF jello

The night before I had had one cup of skim milk before going to bed. Maybe I need to do that again.

I don't think I can cut out on having SF jello. I need to taste something sweet, otherwise I might feel like cheating with something really bad like a cookie.

Thank you for your advice,

happy
