Anyone want to journal what they're eating for everyone to see?

It would be great to see what everyone is eating in phase 1.... and help each other if we see something that's not phase-1 ok.

You can post by meal/snack, or post your whole day.

Ok here goes:

Yesterday:

BFast - 2 eggs scrambled, 1 cup steamed spinach w/slice of mozz cheese on top, and 1 piece of Canadian Bacon (it ended up being too much food, even for a sunday morning!) 2 cups of black coffee

For the rest of the day, just lots of water (I am averaging 100oz a day)

No Snack

Lunch: A zucchini and onion "medley" (I "cheated" and used the required piece of reg bacon to cook with it. Gasp! ;) with a bit of cheese melted in. Some white meat chicken on the side.

Snack: Peanuts. (going to have to be more careful w/my portions) and I also had my sweet treat then. My fudgesicle. LOVED it w/the peanuts.

Dinner: Left over Zuccini/onion dish and two slices of turkey w/bit of cheese and lots of lettuce rolled in.

No Eve. Snack

Today:

Breakfast. Usual scrambled eggs (2) and spinach w/cheese. 1 cup black coffee

Snack: 15 raw almonds (whoo hoo! Stuck to allowance)

Lunch: Eating it now. Green tossed salad w/balsamic Vinagrette, and SBD legal chili

Snack: 2 Turkey/cheese rolls

Dinner: Don't know yet. Would like to try roasted broccoli for sure, as have big BIG bag of it ready to go.

Hi Becky,

If you loved the fudgesicle with the peanuts - try this:

Thanks Cathy! I was thinking about that, but really wanted the crunchy peanuts. I have a HUGE weakness for icecream, w/whole peanuts and choc sauce. That took care of my craving for that. But I've GOT to get some reddi whip and try the peanutbutter recipe!

While you're here, can you look at my entry and tell me if I am doing ok, food choice wise? I am a little concerned. I ate my serving of chili (which I deliberately packed as a small serving) and my salad and I feel STUFFED now. I didn't even eat that much. Am I sabotaging myself by eating till very full?

Also, it says the protien is "unlimited" so does that mean it's ok that for about 3 times a day I end up eating some of my cheese? (probably only talking about the equivalent of

Ok, I am completely confused now.

Two things:

1) I thought 8 - 12 glasses of water was day was measured in 12oz glasses. Is it not? Then what kind of glass are they talking about?

2) I read somewhere (can't remember where, but not long ago) that you should drink 1/2 your body weight in oz (I was close to 160 coming into this, so that would make 80 oz) plus another 20 oz for each 25 lbs you have to lose. Or something close to that.

Now I feel just a little silly thinking that the water was a good thing...

Oh, and I don't think I am "stalled" I can't say that, as I've only been on this for 10 days (including a cheat night) and have still lost 7 lbs. I just wanted to be sure I didn't misunderstand the allowances.

Thanks for the info!

Becky

Hi all,

Today is my first day! :) Hope I will get the great results many of you are experiencing. My goal is to lose 20+ lbs for my wedding in 5 months. Is it bad to drink non-decaf tea? I usually like to drink green tea during the day.

Today's Menu

Breakfast: Omelette with mushrooms, green onions, and lowfat cheddar

Snack: String cheese

Lunch: South Beach chopped salad

Snack: 2 turkey roll-ups

Dinner: London broil & steamed asparagus

Throughout the day: hot green tea and 1 cup of lipton tea w/non dairy creamer & Equal

Thanks for the reply, Cathy! :) I'm so glad I don't have to go out and buy special decaf green tea.

I go to the gym about 3x a week so I'll do my weigh-ins then. I will definitely report back with my results.
