Hey I want to see if my menu yesterday was ok.  I know where I went wrong.

B-coffee with 1/2 and 1/2 and splenda  ( I really miss my french vanilla coffee mate)

then I was on the road driving so I had a V8, some turkey rolled around lowfat cheese.

Didn't have Morning snack due to being at an appt.

Lunch(early)  a salad with chicken on top(with buffalo seasoning)  I had lunch out.  with a big bottle of water.

AS (was hungry) olives, cheese, turkey diet rite(was really wanting a soda for lunch but had water and waited till I got home and had a diet rite(made with splenda and has no caffeine tastes SO much better than other diet sodas also doesn't have nasty after taste. )

Dinner(metamucil drink(YUCK)) steak, "mock" mash potatoes, sauted mushrooms, broiled tomatoe.

dessert riccotta thingie with cocoa/splenda/vanilla

a cup of green tea before bed.

OK here is where I think I went wrong.  I didn't eat enough for breakfast.  I also think I am eating TOO much cheese.  I also didn't eat as much of the salad part of my lunch.  It was a small salad with alot of chicken.  Next time I will get two of the small salads and less chicken to have more veggies.  I also only drank 2 liters of water.  I usually try for 3 since I read on here Dr Agaston said women should get approximatly 2.6 liters that is my daily goal.  I am one of those that doesn't drink alot of anything.  I know most of my problem is thirst.  That is why I try and hit my goal each day.  I did do good because I stood in the "candy" isle at the PX looking at easter candy.  I love the cadburry eggs and robin eggs.  I just stood there forever thinking I could buy osme and eat them.  NOONE would know.  I passed on them though.  That was a BIG NSV for me.

I have to say I really liek this way of eating.  I feel more in control and am able to turn done temptations.  LOL the funny thing is the only temptations I have given into this week was a "small" piece of cornbread but passed up on candy and icecream.  LOL

I did 5 days of Phase 1 and went off due to busy weekend working at a bazzaar.  Restarted on this past Tuesday.  Thanks for listening to me.  Any advise will be appreciated.  I will take the criticism and not be offended. LOL

Take care

Tammie

Happy Easter to the ones that celebrate.

here's an easy to follow meal planner

The South Beach Diet is designed so that you can easily swap meals and ingredients. If you don't like eggs for breakfast, have low-fat cottage cheese or lean meat instead. Not a fish lover? Then choose lean beef or poultry. In Phase 1 of the diet, you can eat as many proteins and vegetables as you like, plus fats like olive oil. Fruit and starches aren't allowed until Phase 2. Here's a look at some general eating guidelines, plus substitution ideas.
