Phase I more than 2 wks?

Has anyone done Phase I for more than the two weeks?

Pros & Cons?

This is a great forum for support. My husband is doing SBD with me, but he misses his breads, rice dishes and potatoes!

I did Phase 1 for 3 weeks because DH started 1 week after me.

I actually did Phase 1 for 4 weeks. I did it for so long because I kept cheating on the weekends which set me back in weight loss. I wish that I would have just done 2 weeks straight through since I am sure that the weight I lost in 4 weeks, I could have lost in 2 if I didn't cheat.

I would weigh yourself in after 2 weeks and see if you are happy w./ the results. If not, then do Phase 1 for one more week and see how you feel. Once, you switch to Phase 2 you could always go Phase 2 "light" where you are SLOWLY reintroducing fruits and certain foods.

The one bad thing about being on Phase 1 for so long is that the food choices are fairly limited.

How long have you been on Phase 1 for?

Just want to welcome you, and add that you can go into phase 2, and still eat phase 1 meals most of the time or enjoy a few weeks of phase 2 then

Today is day 9 of Phase I, and I know that on Friday we're (me & Hubby) are going to cheat somewhat as we are going out to dinner for his birthday.

I was thinking maybe just one more week for a total of 3 on Phase I.

Since I don't currently own a scale at home, we're going by how things fit and we can already tell we've lost.

The cool thing about going out to eat though, is that I can usually find something "legal" at any restaurant. If you do a search at the top, there have been some really good posts about restaurants and some legal food. Of course, enjoy your birthday celebration, but it can be done in moderation too. I love sirloin tips, and usually there will be a tip salad on the menu, or a wonderful chicken sald. Just a few ideas.

i did phase 1 for about a month then i had to switch to phase 2. The good thing about the phase 1 for so long was I was able to drop the pounds and I felt good for a little while. The bad part was i was getting tired lack of energy and I missed my fruit, i used to be a huge fruit eater. I reccomend the two weeks only, i did the full month because I started having results immediately and it got to my head, i lost 16lbs from phase 1 and have lost 5lbs with phase 1&2, i am in between still.

Hi, you sound like me! I am currently on day 18 or 19 of phase 1. I am staying on it longer for my DH - he started after me. I know it sounds crazy but I don't feel too deprived in phase 1 - actually I don't feel deprived at all. So I think I'm a little scared to go onto phase 2. About the potatoes and rice and all, I think my DH misses them too but I just make sure there is LOTS of salad with our dinner and if he's really hungry those cauliflower "mashed potatoes" are nice. I am with you! I don't feel deprived at all on phase 1 and am scared to death of going to phase 2 and losing all control. I am on day 16 of phase 1 and since I have so much to lose (about 80 lbs) and Easter has the cravings back, I plan on staying on this phase for at least one more week. I do think that when I do switch, I will do phase 1 for breakfast and lunch and phase 2 for dinner. I think that my dh would be happier with this because he is so unhappy with this WOE!
