I'm sticking with Phase 1 an extra week!

I'm happy with my 6 lb. loss but felt like I could have done better since the first 2 days I was only half on the program (based on what I had in the house before I did my first SBD grocery shop!). I also was visited by AF last week so that probably slowed down my 2nd weeks progress. I am not finding phase 1 all that difficult, and still feel like I'm eating a good variety of foods HOWEVER I still crave bread and pasta. I'm not sure that will ever go away for me!!!
I think 1 more week at phase 1 will put me in a good place to start the next phase where I know the weight loss will be slower.
Anyone else doing this?? I'd love to find someone at the same stage of the diet as I am.

I lost weight the first week on P1, none the second. But the weekends were not exactly "pure" by any means. In fact, I had beer yesterday. I regretted it though, b/c my tummy didn't really like it.
I'm undecided if moving to P2 would be good now, or if I should stick it out for one more week at P1 (for greedy weight loss reasons). I'm not craving carbs though, although the convenience of cereal is very tempting. I think today--and maybe tomorrow too--will be P1. Then Wed and Thurs I'll have add a P2 carb like steel-cut oatmeal or fruit.
I doubt that helped, but wanted to give you some sense that you aren't alone.

I am with you too. This is my 4th week of P1, but REALLY in all honesty, I would consider it P2 lite. I didn't do so well over the weekend, and I am not happy that I am up 2 lbs from my lowest. (but refuse to change my signature line!) So I'd like to get those two off before I do much more of the Phase 2 allowed foods. Once I am there, I will add in MAYBE a couple apples in a week and some whole grain bread with my breakfast. Possibly some brown rice in one of my favorite Lentil recipes. I am very hesitant. Any cheats that I've done have really cranked up the craving factor. Irritating that I can't kick the cravings competely.
Even though I mostly like eating Phase 1, I know I can't stay here forever. Going to have to grow slowly into the next phase and not be so consumed with the instant gratification weight loss that Phase 1 has been giving me.

My husband is moving onto Phase II on his own, in a modified way. He's adding back in the whole grain breads, and the cereal, but not the fruits at this point.
I do pretty good on the weekends, so that's not a big issue for me. I just don't eat what I crave, and find something else to do (more housework usually) to avoid eating the junk.
I wonder if I'm actually still eating too much. I only eat the approved foods, but often find it hard to eat the meals AND the snacks.
I'm in the same boat as you. I technically ended Phase 1 yesterday and lost 6.5 lbs total. But I cheated this past weekend so I am going to stay in Phase 1 at least through Friday to make up for it.
My cravings have been off and on, mostly for chips and burgers (In'N'Out, yum!), but the weight loss really keeps me motivated. I'm working out about 3x a week, so I think that has accelerated the loss.

It's not recommened to stay on Phase 1 longer than 4 weeks due to the limited selection ...
I might be wrong and if so will stand corrected, but I think the reason you shouldn't stay on P1 for more than 4 weeks is more for physical reasons. Your body will start to burn off lean muscle at some point if you don't give it a few complex carb's to work with. I would re-think. I am like you. I love the foods in P1 ,and I am not necessarily looking forward to adding anything in. But I don't think it's wise.
Just my two cents! ;)

I also have to agree with Becky about staying in Phase 1 too long. I think you also just need the nutrients of other foods, too.

I am staying on Phase 1 one more week as well. I started on 4/10 and have lost 5 lbs. I ate basically what was recommended but some choices of cheese, lunch meat etc were not low fat. Also, because that was what was in the house.
I am setting small goals as I have at least 75 lbs to lose. My first goal is to get to 230. I am hoping to do that with two more weeks of Phase 1. Then I will try Phase 2 "SLOWLY."
