Well, after much preparation (not to mention grocery shopping), I finally started SBD today. I've already made a bunch of the meals and snacks so I'll have them on hand, and I've been really impressed with everything.

Thank you so much to everyone who answered my questions in the past few weeks, especially Cathy, Maggie, and Susan!

Take care, and wish me luck!

Hi Domenica,

How are you doing? I followed the meal plan in the book pretty closely, although instead of the quiche cups, I made a scrambled egg with veggies and ham in the microwave. For my mid-morning snack, I drank the small can of V-8 I was going to have at breakfast, along with a skim mozzarella string cheese.

For lunch, I have a huge salad with romaine, chicken, assorted veggies, and Cardini's caesar dressing. Dessert will be sugar-free jello, and I also brought along some grape tomatoes just in case the salad isn't filling enough. Mid-afternoon snack will be celery with lite Laughing Cow cheese.

For dinner, I'm making the salmon with rosemary and steamed asparagus. I also made the SBD Surprise Mashed Potatoes ahead of time, so I'll have that with dinner instead of the salad. I'm not sure about dessert yet...so many options! :)

I was nervous about being hungry since I'm so active. Already I've had a brisk 30 minute walk and 20 minutes of yoga. I'll have another walk in half an hour and lift weights at 4 p.m., plus I also walk home from work. I have some nuts and roasted chickpeas in my desk just in case, along with sugar-free gum and candies if I need them.

How about you? How are you doing? I made a lot of stuff ahead of time - it just works better for me that way, because of my busy schedule.

I'm in Winnipeg. You?

Cheers,

Holli

Thanks, Kristina!

I just resisted my first temptation - one of my co-workers came by with chocolate-covered raisins, which I LOVE, and I told her "get thee hence, Satan!" :) Now I'm enjoying my sugar-free Jello with a clear conscience.

It is only my first day, but so far, so good!

Cheers,

Good for you for passing up that chocolate covered raisin!
