I have a business lunch this afternoon. What is usually safe? I thought a grilled chicken caesar with no croutons would be the best bet; what else is a good option?

Thank you!

I usually order a chicken ceasar salad with no croutons (very tasty), but spinach salad is also very good. If you'd like something hot, maybe try some fish or other seafood, and instead of potato or rice, just ask for extra veggies, or just leave the rice on your plate. Some restaurants also offer quiche without crust. Hope that helps,

Shelley

Yes, that's a safe option. I went out three times while on P1 and had:

1)caesar salad (no croutons) + chili soup that came with chips (got rid of chips)

2)grilled rosemary shrimp and instead of the mashed potatoes that came with it, asked for broccoli and cauliflower.

3)flounder stuffed with meat crab and green bean almondine.

As long as you know what the foods to enjoy are, you can scan the menu and depending of the place be able to get something suitable. Don't be afraid to ask the waiter to replace side dishes for something that it is allowed (mashed potatoes for steamed broccoli). A lot of restaurants have caught up with the low-carb thing and will acommodate their patrons needs.

Good luck!

How about a chef's salad?
