Peanut Butter & BBQ sauce

Hi! I just started the Beach on Monday and I went to the grocery store again last night to get some barbeque sauce and salad dressing. I got a Kraft Low Carb BBQ sauce and used it last night and LOVED it. Would highly recommend it to anyone that is craving BBQ sauce like I was.

My question is...what kind of peanut butter am I allowed to have on Phase 1? I got an all natural PB with less than 3g of sugar (sorry I can't remember the exact number and to be quite honest I'm too lazy to go downstairs and look). Is this ok to use with celery?

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Edited: The Kraft BBQ sauce was Carb Well :)

I don't think there's a recommendation on the grams of sugar for peanut butter, but the ingredients should be peanuts and salt only. The big thing is no added sugar or funky things that I can neither pronounce nor spell.

Be careful of the products labeled as "low carb" or "low net carbs". Look at the ingredients to be sure that there's no added sugar, particularly high fructose corn syrup, and look at the fats, too. This isn't a low carb diet, but the quality of the carbs matters. Unfortunately it means learning to read labels carefully.

Welcome to the Beach though! I've been here two weeks, more or less, and I think you'll really like it.

Ha, I can't pronounce anything either :)

I'll check it out later this afternoon to see if the kind I have is ok. It just makes celery so much easier to eat!

Thanks!

Yay a Hoosier! I'm actually from Indiana but live in Connecticut. From Hendricks County, where all of my family still resides! Good to see you here! I'm definetly going to be looking for the low carb barbeque and I think I will grab myself some low sugar ketchup as well. On the PB, I think we're limited to a certain amount each day. Like 1 tsp or 1 tbsp. I'm sure someone else will know exactly. I think it's great your trying the low sugar one. In the book, I don't believe it specifies that you need to have one or the other.

Good luck!! And if you need a diet buddy let me know!

The guideline for condiments, including barbecue sauce, is to look for those with 3g or less sugar per serving.

Hi fellow Hoosier!! :)

I did get the Smuckers and it's pretty good.

But I have to admit, I cheated last night and BAD. I went to a pro baseball game and ate chicken fingers and fries, then COTTON CANDY....the whole bag :( I felt awful after I did it. But it was really good!
