New here and not sure how to start...

Hi, I've skimmed through the SBD book, and looked at the phase one meal plan. I've gone to a couple different sites and looked at the grocery shopping lists and I'm just overwhelmed. The one on hippodamia is HUGE! Do you really have to have all that stuff on hand to start the program or is that just a guide to what you are allowed to eat? As far as the meal plan in the book, do you follow it exactly, or is it just a guide to show you that you can have a variety? Meaning if you don't like a certain fish, can you sub another? Or sub different veggies (I hate peppers!)
Any help with this confusion would be greatly appreciated!

The meal plan in the book is just to give you some ideas...you don't have to follow it if you don't want to. Honestly, what I like best about the SBD is that you can create your own meals and that you don't have to follow a meal plan. There are lots of recipe ideas on here...but if you pick up some eggs, veggies that are allowed and that you like (for salads, omelets, and to have with dinner), chicken or turkey breast, lean beef, fish or seafood that you like, low-fat cheese and cheese sticks, beans, 100% peanuts peanut butter, sugar substitute, low-fat milk, sugar-free jello, sugar-free popsicles or fudgesicles, nuts, and sugar-free salad dressing (will say 0g sugar on label) you'll be fine to get started. Good luck!

I'm starting today. So far I'm ok, been too busy at work to think about eating!
Thanks again!
