Today while at the grocery store, i was tempted to pick up some sugar free popscicles, fudgesciles but when i looked at the carb count it was quite high. I thought these were allowed in this phase. Are the frozen snacks with no sugar added ok? I'm a bit confused on this one and am avoiding them until I find out the answer. Nextly, why is it ok to eat cabbage, tomato juice etc on this plan..I thought this was high in carbs(at least that is what other low carb programs say)? I haven't actually boughten the book yet but am a bit confused at why this program treats these kinda food differently.
I have to say the first two days of this phase one have gone incrediebly well. I have very few food cravings at this point. I am surprized at how easy it has been for me to follow. I think having the dairy, cheese etc.is very helpful in staying on it. I stepped on the scale this morning and I was down 4lbs already..could this be right? I'm not loosing muscle am I? I workout daily with cardio and weights and one thing i don't want to do is lose muscle as this is good for weight loss as well. I hope this weight is not just water weight, it is sure nice to see the scale move especially since I've been at a plateau for what seems like forever. Maybe it has something to due with the fact that before 90% of my daily intake was some sort of carb. i know that's terrible, but it's the truth. Suzanne ;0)
